The October issue of the RSGB’s magazine RadCom should be with everyone soon. Amateur Radio activity in Essex is once again well represented!.
Braintree and District ARS – Their Aerial Clinic and talk from John G4SWX on operating a remote station are reported, as well as the club’s August summer camp.
Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society features no less than three times – August operations at Sandford Mill, the well-attended August Skills Night, and the August club night – the CARS annual construction night. 73 to Essex Ham member Bruce M0XBS (The picture explains all!)
The South Essex Amateur Radio Society features twice for their many stations and events commemorating the downing of two American B17 bombers in 1944. Events were held close to the crash point on Canvey Island, as well as at the Bay Museum on Canvey.
Southend & District ARS gets a mention, plus a photo and report on their field day at the Ekco Social Club
The Thurrock Acorns August club get-together is mentioned, plus a nice group photo with the members gathered around Paul M0PFX’s satellite kit.
