Hi - I found the following online - does this help?

Thanks Pete, I have looked at that.
It’s 2m/70cm I’m having trouble with, the meter doesn’t move off zero on either band on any frequency.
I’ve spoke to Yaesu today and they couldn’t help apart from telling me to return the radio. Gutted is an under statement if I’m honest.

A quick update on the above problem. I spoke with a couple of 991a owners who assured me that they get the same issue with using a Diamond antenna, so I decided to try a less resonant antenna on 5 watts and the SWR meter sprang into life on 2m and 70cm.
So the problem/query is now resolved.

Hi folks
Ive set up my station today and cannot for the life of me figure out how to use my internal swr meter on my 991a. I can get the meter to change to swr but I get no reading when trying to check it. Any ideas or solutions are gratefully accepted.
