Is It Legal to Use A Transceiver For Listening Without a Mic while Applying For A Licence (1 reply and 2 comments)
Yes it is legal to have a transceiver and use it for listening while you are waiting to get your licence
Hi M5AKA thanks for reply and advise 73 Bob
Actually It is perfectly legal to have the microphone in situ. The ONLY constraint is that you cant actually transmit without a license. You do no need a license just to own a transmitter but you do to transmit with it.

Hi as per title if I leave the Mic at a different address and run the Transceiver on a low currant power supply so there is no way it could transmit would this be legal for listening only while I get my Foundation Licence kind regards Bob
