If you go to the UK Yaesu website and look up digital radio and wires X files you will find and be able to downloads files containing all the information you require on connecting to HRI200 and connecting a FTM 400 to wires X and obtaining node number.Regards. Barry. G7BND.
You can access the fusion nodes(rooms) via a fusion repeater directly from your FTM400. Danbury repeater supports this.
I have not done this myself but I understand to set up your own node (using the HRI200) as Barry says you need register and get node number

once you have set up the HRI200 you can connect the FTM to that in much the same way.
