Suffolk RED is an event that normally takes place every two months, near Ipswich. It’s a collaboration between clubs, repeater groups and amateurs in the south Suffolk area.
RED stands for Radio & Electronics Development, and the evening in Ipswich allows amateurs, radio enthusiasts and those with an interest in electronics to meet, exchange ideas and develop their skills. Suffolk RED was launched in December 2015, and is run by a small steering group. In 2017, Suffolk RED affiliated with RSGB.

Evenings used to take place at Hallowtree, a scouting venue in Ipswich. In 2021, the event moved to the Suffolk Aviation Heritage Group Museum, home of the Felixstowe & District Amateur Radio Society.
