Currently, the UK operates a 3-tier amateur radio licence structure: Foundation > Intermediate > Full.
The Exam Standards Committee identified that there are some potential amateurs who have extensive experience already, and might want to jump “Direct to Full“, without having to go through the first two stages. This page contains information on “Direct-to-Full”
What is Direct to Full?
This will be a single theory exam, which can be taken online – designed for those with existing radio and electronics knowledge
When will Direct to Full be available?
21st January 2023.
How much will the exam cost?
£95.
What will the exam look like?
The Direct-to-Full exam will consist of two parts, which are sat in the same session. Both have to be passed.
Part 1 has 18 questions with a pass mark of 14 questions (77.7% pass mark)
