This is a final reminder that this coming Sunday, the 1st of February 2015, is the 30th Canvey Rally. This popular annual event is run by the team at SEARS, the South Essex Amateur Radio Society.
The rally is a great place to go to pick up a bargain, catch up with local amateurs and clubs, and, of course, enjoy a SEARS bacon buttie.
This year, the Canvey Rally will have a raffle, raising money for the Essex Air Ambulance Trust. The raffle will include a great selection of prizes, such as a Weather Station (from Waters & Stanton), a BHI NES 10/2 Mk III noise cancelling speaker, a Lenovo A5500-F Tablet, a Baofeng BF UV-5R VHF/UHF handheld, £50 of electronic components, a Roberts Dual Alarm Clock Radio, a 12 volt backup battery, and more.
All tables have been sold, meaning that the rally is set to be a busy one – lots of clubs, individuals and retailers are there, plus local emporium Waters & Stanton and the RSGB bookstall.
Doors open at 10:30am. Parking at The Paddocks is free, and getting there early is always a good plan if you want a bargain (although that’s the busiest time)
