We’ve just heard that the 2025 Canvey Rally has been cancelled.
The 38th Canvey Rally was set for the 2nd of February 2025 at Cornelius Vermuyden School in Dinant Avenue on Canvey Island. The event is run each February by SEARS, the South Essex Amateur Radio Society.
The announcement on the SEARS website reads as follows:
Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control the upcoming Rally 2nd February 2025 has had to be cancelled. We know how disappointed people will be but unfortunately the venue is unavailable and as we have been informed so late in the day finding a replacement venue at such short notice is just not practical.
We will be endeavouring to find a new home and as soon as we are able we will hopefully bring you news of the 38th SEARS Rally.
It’s a real shame to hear that the rally has had to be called off, and we hope SEARS will be able to find a new home for this Essex-based rally as soon as they can.
