I’ve been asked by the family of a local amateur in Southend to help with a shack clearout, as the gentlemen no longer operates in his shack. The gentleman in question, a G3 callsign, was into homebrew construction in a big way, and his shack contains a wide selection of components, assembled projects and potentially-useful odds-and-ends of interest to constructors.
As much of the material is homebrew and before my time, I can’t identify much of it, but I have taken a collection of photos, which are in the gallery below.
If you, or anyone you know, may be interested in any of the equipment or components shown in the photos, please get in touch with me, and I’ll be happy to liaise with the family on your behalf.
The collection includes a home-brew HF rig and ATU that appears to work on 20m, 15m and 10m.
Items available for collection from the property in Southend
The house also has a large HF antenna on the roof (plus rotator) that the family would like removed. Again, if you’re interested, please contact me direct.
