Facebook is awash with videos of mad fools pouring buckets of icy water over themselves. Regardless of your thoughts on this craze that still hasn’t gone away – it’s raising money and awareness for charity.
Essex Ham’s Kelly M6KFA is one of the more recent nominees for the Ice Bucket Challenge, and good sport that she is, she took the challenge today. As she doesn’t own a waterproof handheld, she wasn’t radiating during the dousing, but she was being videoed.
If you watch the following short video, please consider making a donation to one of the charities linked to the Ice Bucket Challenge.
- To make a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support of just £3, send a text message with the word ICE to 70550.
- To donate £5 to Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in the UK, text ICED55 £5 to 70070
As the ALS Association came up with the idea of the ice bucket challenge to raise awareness of MND and money for there association. Please donates to the MND Association (ALS is better known as MND in the UK) by texting ICED55 £5 (or other amount) to 70070 see mndassociation.org or alsa.org for more info.
