Training is important not only as a way at getting new members into your club, but also to grow the hobby and get new people on board
We’d suggest that every club does one of three things as a minimum:
- Offer a training course of some type – typically a classroom course, but you could offer training through mentoring
- Offer exam sessions, for those who have studied online
- If you can’t offer training, add a section on your website linking to local clubs who do offer training, and/or one of the online training providers, such as Essex Ham’s Foundation Online
