Monday the 23rd of July 2012 saw an impromptu get-together on DA:
The attendance list was as follows:
- M0PSX – Pete, Leigh-on-Sea (Seconded into the chair tonight!)
- 2E0NGY – Mike on Canvey Island
- M6BPJ – Bruce in Chelmsford (first time on the Monday Night Net – welcome!)
- M3OJT – John in Swanley
- 2E0TNC – Tom in Tiptree
- G1ILG – Brian in Thaxted
- G0BDY – Gary Brentwood (a little louder than normal)
- 2E0RMI – Jim, Chelmsford (hello stranger!)
- G0URK – Joel in Chelmsford
- M0FHA – Dennis in Broomfield
The topics included:
- The weather (it’s hot)
- Problems with GB3DA – overheating or D-Star interference?
- Cats on the air
- Interesting question from G0BDY – “Do you CQ on HF, or respond to other CQ calls”. Consensus is that we don’t tend to ‘break’, Pete doesn’t CQ, but Mike and Tom do.
As a reminder, the GB3DA Danbury repeater is operated by the Essex Repeater Group – Donations are welcomed to keep the repeater running (and to keep it cool).
We wrapped up at around 2245 – and, as they say, a good time was had by all!
