Our Monday Night Net launched back in 2011 and is still going strong. Everyone’s welcome to join, especially those who’ve recently got their licence and are looking for help with getting started in the hobby.

Let’s Talk About Clubs
A hot topic for this week’s net was “amateur radio clubs”… always an emotive subject. Discussed this week:
- Are clubs doing enough to encourage and support newcomers to the hobby and stop them losing interest?
- Are club members guilty of not engaging more with their club? The same old people attending events – where’s everyone else?
- Weekly meetings instead of monthly meetings?
- Is a club with a shack / dedicated premises a good idea?
- What do people want / need from their club?
- What does this continued chat about clubs actually get us?
