The Essex Ham Monday Night Net for 10 August 2015 started at 8pm local time on GB3DA, the 2m repeater located at Danbury, near Chelmsford.
Live Chat: During the Net, we run an Internet chatroom. Go to www.essexham.co.uk/chat to get chatting – You need to create a free Essex Ham account to access our chatroom. |
Internet Feed: Not in range of GB3DA? Several Internet feeds are available, including: Monday Night Net uStream (Thanks to Nick M0NFE) – There’s also Essex Ham’s Audio Feed (In BETA). On a Smartphone, try SouthEastRadio on Zello |

A reminder that it’s Skills Night next week, so no net
Topics for the evening, as follows:
- Wi-fi security… just how good is it?

Great net as always, thanks for running it, giving your time to it each week , lovely to hear and chat to everyone, always well attended xx
I wondered what happened to the net !
I got in and settled from my long weekend away and there was no net on at just after 22:00.
Still, I had me new book to read so I can wait till the next net.
Hi Brian, start time is 8pm and we aim to wind down at 10pm. Quiet one this week, so we didn’t over-run.
Pete
Don’t keep us in suspenders… What’s the new disclaimer that the repeater group has told you to read out and do you have to change the rap??
I’m not doing another Disclaimer Rap in the SEARS car park John!
Wording change is a simple one. It was:
“We’d like to thank the Essex Repeater Group for allowing us to use the GB3DA repeater for our weekly net. This repeater, together with GB3ER, GB3DB and GB7ZP are managed by volunteers. If you want to show your support for the repeaters, you can make a donation online, or become a member, at http://www.essexrepeatergroup.org.uk – ERG is a not-for-profit organisation.”
…and now they’d like:
“We’d like to thank the Essex Repeater Group for allowing us to use the GB3DA for our weekly net. This repeater, together with GB3ER, GB3DB and GB7ZP are managed by volunteers. ERG would appreciate your support which can be by membership or donation , online at http://www.essexrepeatergroup.org.uk”
I suspect I’ll stumble over the third sentence, as it doesn’t scan well, but I’ll give it a go on the 24th (no Net this week due to Skills).
I’m assuming the other two clubs who run nets on GB3DA and GB3ER will follow our lead and be equally supportive of ERG on their upcoming nets.
Cheers John!
Pete
So they now are a FOR PROFIT organisation??
