If you have some free time on Sunday the 11th September 2011, come along to the Stow Maries Aerodrome and see some vintage flying.
From this World War I Airfield, close to Maldon, you’ll see planes including a Fokker Triplane, an early reconnaissance BE2 from Sywell, a Fokker Eindekker and a number of vintage and interesting civilian aircraft. There are also displays of model aircraft as well as some vintage cars and military vehicles.
What does this have to do with amateur radio? Well, members of the Dengie Hundred Amateur Radio Society will be onsite transmitting from the Vintage Fly day under the special event callsign GB0SMA
